The model 201 slitter is designed for slitting light
to medium weight materials. Materials
such as fabrics, non-wovens and lightweight carpets may be cut
efficiently. The 201 slitter
is based upon a twin blade scissors action principle of cutting.
One blade is positively
driven and one blade is frictionally driven so any width material
may be slit. Blades are
4 9/16 inches in diameter. Blades can normally be resharpened
10-15 times or until too
thin for use.
The motor can be a 1/6 or 1/3 hp. gear motor. Standard
voltage is 115 volt, 60 Hz. Three
phase is available for certain RPM outputs. Different RPM output
speeds are used to match
the blades circumference speed to the customer's fastest line
speed. Mounting is achieved
by 3/8-16 holes in the slitter base. Trolleys are available to
mount on 4" 13lb. or 6" 20lb.
