The Model 9500 is a heavy duty and reliable
crosscutter. The model 9500 cross cutter
is based upon our proven twin blade scissors action principle of
cutting. The cross cutting
head is equipped with four blades to provide two directional
cutting. The model 9500 crosscutter is
powered by a 3 horse power Sumitomo motor and driven by a number 60 roller chain. The cutter
travels on a Bishop-Wise carver DUAL-L-VEE V-Guide rail which provides smooth travel. The cross cutter
will cut across 12 feet wide carpet in approximately 2-3 seconds.
All blade shafts have a pair of two inch diameter
races. To provide long life, the shaft's
bearing housings have two needle bearings and one thrust bearing.
Blade life on the
model 9500 cross-cutters has proven to be very long, with several
customers running the
cutter for as long as 2-3 months before the blades need
re-sharpening. The blades can be
resharpened several times or until too thin for use. The cross
cutter blades are made from
the same steel as our trimmer and slitter blades. The model 9500
cross-cutter will provide
reliable fast cutting with very little maintenance.
