The model 18500 butt-seamer is a single thread unit. The 18500 is ideal
for sewing secondary carpet backing, fabrics, and felt type products.
Light to medium weight products may be sewn with the 18500. The model
18500 is similar to our 812MP unit, but the 18500 is a much more rugged
maintenance free machine.

In designing the 18500, we took our 812MP butt-seamer and replaced the
ball joints and looper rockers with the ones used in our 38500 butt-seamer.
Hence, we drastically improved the reliability and durability of the machine. It
will sew a much wider range of products than its predecessor, the 812MP.

The model 18500 butt-seamer may be used on our standard railway, or it
can be used on a portable pedestal like the one pictured with our model
900 butt-seamer. We can convert 812MP machines to the more reliable
